If you find the one who leads to the Truth, then you will come to understand the reality.When you reach the Truth, when you learn the reality, you will both see and know that only "He" exists. The knowledge found in the depths of the hearts of those close to Allahu Teala, which is not present between the lines of books, is the knowledge of marifatullah.In the Holy Verse, it is decreed:"The Qur’an is composed of clear signs which reside in the hearts of those endowed with knowledge." (Ankabut: 49)Through the knowledge bestowed by the Noble Qur’an, with the clear, radiant light glowing in their hearts, Allah the Most High reveals and shows to them as much of the divine secrets as He wills. Hence, they possess a knowledge beyond the grasp of others. The apparent scholars neither know nor understand this, for it is a transcendent knowledge.Allah the Most High manifests Himself to these select and beloved servants in any manner He desires and appoints them to their duties. Each is sent with different responsibilities. These described souls are the true Sufis.The true guide is Allah the Most High. Genuine Sufis and true adherents of wahdat alwujud (Unity of Being) both see and recognize that Existence is He, and the existent is He. They understand that everything comes into being by His command "Be," and that a form is given to everything, knowing that the divine secrets reside in every particle, revealed from the manifestations of the light of existence in the universe.Those who are permitted to practice rabita (spiritual connection with a guide) are only these individuals. For they have extinguished their own being within the being of Allah the Most High, realizing that the true guide is Allah the Most High.They know the Truth, see the Truth, and describe the Truth.Because they are students of Allah the Most High, only they truly know Allah the Most High. They learn and see whatever Allah the Most High teaches and shows them, comprehending and deciphering those divine secrets. They guide others to Allah the Most High.As for those who claim, "I am a scholar, I know," they have merely understood their own ego and followed its desires.
